CM decries act of terrorist

Chief Minister N Biren has decried as act of terrorist the indiscriminate firing at B Gamnom village that left three persons, including a village chief and a nine years old boy dead, and injured a two years old on Tuesday as an act of terrorist.
In a release, CM said that miscreants attacked villagers who gathered to perform the last rites of members of a Kuki UG group who died in an encounter with security force personnel on October 10.Maintaining that the government would not tolerate acts which threaten lives of peace loving people, he continued that there is no space for violence in a democratic country and condemned such brutal act.
The government will take the responsibility to protect the people who fled because of the unfortunate incident'.
Moreover, instructions were also given to police officers to do the needful to protect the villagers, he informed, while adding that higher ups of army, Assam Rifles and Manipur police have been advised to take stringent actions against the perpetrators.
While sharing the pain of the bereaved families, the chief minister prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
