No immediate plan to convene special session: Satyabrata

Speaker of Manipur Leg-islative Assembly Thokchom Satyabrata has said that there is no immediate plan to convene special session of the assembly relating to the ongoing violence but experts would be consulted with before taking steps in this regard.
Speaker Satyabrata made the declaration when media persons asked him on the demand of some politicians to convene a special session of the assembly on the prevailing situation in the state.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of opening of a relief camp for internally dis-placed persons at Wangkhei Modern high school, Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi, Satyabrata explained Privilege and Ethics Committee of state assembly has served show cause notice to 10 Kuki MLAs for demanding 'Separate Administration' returnable within June 16.The committee is awaiting reply from the 10 MLAs and necessary action will be initiated based on report furnished by committee, he added.
Regarding the relief camp, Satyabrata said seven women organisations of Wangkhei area jointly opened the camp for people affected by the ongoing ethnic violence.
