Health camps held, essential items provided

Considering the hardships faced by villagers of Pukhao Terapur due to the on-going crisis, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp on Wednesday during which the locals and people staying in nearby relief camps availed consultation, treatment and medicines.
Approximately 471 people including 238 women and 167 children were attend-ed to by the team of doctors of Assam Rifles during the medical camp, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release, adding that since June 1, a total of 7236 individuals including 1835 children have been provided medical treatment both major and minor.
So far, the medical camps and clinics have been con-ducted at Kangpokpi, Saikul, Moreh, Dolaithabi, Pukhao Terapur, Tamen - glong, Kadamtala, Sehlon, Noney, Churachandpur, Joupi, Chassad, Shangsbak, Somsai, Tengnoupal, Khuga, Phundrei, Sajik Tampak and Keithelmanbi, the PRO in-formed.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles provided essential com-modities at Kwatha village.
