Imphal, June 08 2023:
The abrogation of Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Kuki militants and getting rid of foreign narco-terrorist from the soil of India is the only solution to the ongoing conflict, said titular King and Rajya Sabha MP, Leishemba Sanajaoba to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a letter today.
While there was optimism and hope that peace would return after the Union Home Minister's visit to Manipur, the situation has not improved and there are still flare ups in various pockets in the State, said MP Leishemba Sanajaoba in his letter.
The Union Home Minister is "aware" that it is not the majority Meitei community attacking Kuki-Chin groups, it is rather the other way round.
At the beginning it seemed to be a communal conflict but now, it has been established that the attacks are well orchestrated pre-planned conspiracy of so-called Kuki SoO militants and Myanmarese Narco-terrorists, said Leishemba Sanajaoba.

The Kuki militants and the narco-terrorists are infiltrating the border and attacking the Meitei inhabited areas mainly in the foothills.
They are killing innocent Meitei villagers using sophisticated arms and ammunition and carrying out arson and looting, the letter to Amit Shah said.
Leishemba Sanajaoba further pointed out that instead of honouring the valuable words of peace of the Union Minister, the Kuki militants and narco-terrorists have continued to attack civilians and security forces.
The killing of one BSF personnel and injuring two Assam Rifles Jawans on June 6 are acts of aggression challenging the might of India.
Their action is a threat to the unity and integrity of the country and National security, he said.
The letter then stressed that most of Meiteis' actions are in self-defence and retaliatory in nature taken at the spur of the moment and the people in the valley are open to bringing a peaceful solution.
Further, the illegal blockade on the National Highway-2 is also creating untold misery to all the communities including the Kukis in the State, said the letter.
Stating that the abrogation of SoO and getting rid of narco-terrorists from the soil of India is the only solution to the conflict, Leishemba Sanajaoba pointed out the need for plugging the porous border to discourage infiltrators from crossing the border.
He stated that it is the wish of the people of Manipur that international border fencing be erected in Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts neighbouring Myanmar at the earliest to check infiltrators crossing the border.
"Vox Populi Vox Dei", we are simply humble servants of the people.
And I am bound by the wish of the people of the State.
And I feel very sad to see my State burning unabated daily," said Leishemba Sanajaoba urging the Union Home Minister for his intervention to bring peace and normalcy in Manipur.
