Imphal, June 08 2023:
In a memorandum submit-ted to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and titular king of Manipur Sanajaoba Leishemba pointed out that abrogation of Suspension of Operation (500) with Kuki militants and flush-out of foreign narco- ter-rorists from the soil of India are the only solution to the ongoing conflict.
In the memorandum, Sanajaoba expressed that the recent 4-day visit of Amit Shah to the state cre-ated widespread optimism and hope for a new beginning after leaving for New-Delhi.
However, contrary to the general expectation the sit-uation came back to square one as conflicts flared up in various pockets in the state, he informed.
Claiming that it is not majority Meitei community attacking the Ku-ki-Chin groups but the other way round, he continued that at the beginning it seemed to be a corn-munal conflict but now, it has been established that the attacks are the handiwork of well-orchestrated pre-planned conspiracy of so called Kuki So() militants and Myanmarese narco-terrorists infiltrating beyond the border and attacking the Meitei inhabited areas mainly at the foothills.
