Book Abonmai's killers: CLK to Govt

Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak (CLK) has strongly condemned the killing of Athuan Abonmai and demanded that the government do the needful immediately to book all those involved in the heinous murder of the Zelian-grong leader.
According to a statement of CLK, former Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Na-galand) president Athuan Abonmai was kidnapped by some armed men from Apollo ground, Tamenglong town where the chief minister and several ministers were attending a public event on September 22.The armed men whisked away Abonmai in a vehicle right in front of large number of security personnel deployed for security of the CM and other ministers and later he was found murdered near Pallong village under Tamei police station, it said and condemned the manner in which Athuan Abonmai was murdered brutally.
The CLK statement further said that late Athuan Abonmai wras a leader who had firm belief in collective survival and brotherhood of all the indigenous communities of Manipur and shouldered immense responsibility towards bringing of a united Manipur.
CLK also said that government should clarify about the incident as people are witnesses to the armed men's action while abducting Athuan in front of security personnel and his resistance.
CLK also vowed to extend support to any agitation announced by the JAC formed against Abonmai's killing.
