State logs 229 positive cases, zero death

Imphal, September 25 2021:
Even though the State reported 229 Covid-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours, there was no report of any Covid related death.
A bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that 228 civilians and one CAPF personnel were confirmed positive out of 3,032 samples tested for the contagion which puts the positivity rate at 7.6 per cent.
The fresh positive cases were detected at RIMS (6), JNIMS (12) and other testing centres (211), and the civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (44), Imphal West (129), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (7), Ukhrul (22), Churachandpur (6), Chandel (4), Senapati (4), Tengnoupal (2) and Kamjong (4) .
Kamjong recorded the highest positivity rate during the last 24 hours at 16.7 per cent followed by Imphal West 10.7 per cent, Ukhrul 9.6 per cent and Imphal East 9.3 per cent.
Following recovery, 174 COVID-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (54), RIMS (9), JNIMS (3), CCCs (95) and CHICs (13) .
Whereas the death toll stands at 1843, the cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,19,674 (general population 1,15,404 and Central security personnel 4,270) .
It includes 2,084 active cases (general population 2,021 and Central security personnel 63) and 1,15,747 recovered cases (general population 1,11,545 and Central security personnel 4,202) .
The recovery rate as on Saturday is 96.72 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 983 D-type oxygen cylinders and 209 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 16,60,591 (1st dose 12,18,259 and 2nd dose 4,42,332) .
This includes 9036 doses administered on
September 24 .
