Imphal, September 25 2021:
Continuing his attack on Congress MLA Kh Joykisan of Thangmeiband AC, BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member Jyotin Waikhom said that the MLA's silence after proposing to the 60 MLAs to donate Rs 50 lakh each from the local area development fund for fighting Covid-19 pandemic shows his true nature.
Jyotin was attending and 105th birth anniversary observance of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay cum Seva Aur Samarpan Abhiyan organised as part of PM Modi's birthday by Thangmeiband BJP Mandal at PHLYO Club here.
Addressing the gathering, Jyotin said that BJP is ruling in the state and also at the Centre and nobody has been able to level any allegations of corruption or scams against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
MLA Joykisan is a politician, who left such a party and fought three elections under the symbols of three different parties.
This shows how he lacks commitment and stability as a public leader, Jyotin alleged.
He also demanded the MLA to bring out whitepaper on the utilisation of MLA local area development fund and distribution of NFSA and PMG-KAY rice.
Regarding his decision to fight the upcoming assembly election, Jyotin said that in every election, he is getting more and more votes, and it keeps him motivated to contest the polls.
He lost the last election by only 156 votes, he said while urging the people of his constituency to support him in the 2022 election as well.
PMGKAY rice was also distributed at the event, which was attended by several BJP leaders of Thangmeiband assembly constituency.
