Grenade lobbed at house of private firm's COH

Kakching, September 25 2021:
Unknown miscreants purportedly carried out a bomb attack at the house of one Kshetrimayum Manglemjao (38) of Kakching Thonglan, who is the Client Operation Head (COH) of PayGd Enterprises, Kakching.
However, the grenade failed to explode.
Police source said that the attackers might have lobbed the grenade the previous night but the family members found it only on Saturday morning.
Manipur police bomb disposal squad retrieved the Chinese made hand grenade and exploded it at a safe place.
The attackers threw the grenade with the intent to explode as its pin was missing.
The family was fortunate that the grenade failed to explode.
Meanwhile, local residents and investors of PayGd Enterprises Kakching carried out a sit-in protest in front of the enterprises' office denouncing the grenade attack on Saturday.
Protestors said that the enterprises has been carrying out service for the public through its various plans for old age pension, shopping, tuition fee for schools and boarding among others.
Even during this Covid-19 pandemic, the enterprises has been delivering the benefits to its investors at their doorsteps They condemned the grenade attack and appealed to whoever concerned not to repeat such acts in future.
