'Mironbising Gi Khudol' prog conducted at Maram PHC

As a special initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), District Health Society and Maram PHC, Senapati organised a programme entitled 'Mironbising Gi Khudol' at the premises of Maram PHC on Saturday.
PMSMA programme was launched with the main objective of providing quality antenatal care service to pregnant women of the country at recognised public health facilities on ninth of every month.
'Mironbising Gi Khudol' programme has been organising as special programme of PMSMA at remote areas of the state where there is shortage of volunteer doctors.
Under this programme, ultrasonography facility is being provided to pregnant women having high risk apart from conducting health check-up.
The programme conducted at Maram PHC was the 19th such programme under PMSMA.
Altogether 91 pregnant women were registered for antenatal check-up during the programme at Maram PHC while medical officer/OBGY conducted health check-up, PW general laboratory test and HIV test.
During the check-up, nine pregnant women were detected to be in high risk while two among them were referred to health centre having better facilities for safe delivery.
During the programme, maternal health/PMSMA state nodal officer and deputy director (public health) Dr Meena Seram attended as chief guest while DHS Senapati district immunization officer Dr Ngouniba Peter and PMSMA volunteer and ACME Fertility and Health Care Centre managing director Dr James Elangbam were present as president and guest of honour respectively.
