District Hospital Kangpokpi issues precautionary measures

Kangpokpi, July 23 2022:
Considering the recent surge of Covid infection in the State, District Hospital Kangpokpi has issued various precautionary measures for effective prevention and control of COVID-19, especially in and around the hospital and public places.
The public notice issued by Dr Paotinlal Haokip, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, stated that only one caregiver/attend-ant shall be permitted for patients who need assistance while strongly urging the patients to visit the Hospital alone as far as possible.
It restricted children less than 12 years, the elderly (above 65 years), and patients with known cases of immune deficient conditions like Diabetes, Cancer, Asthma, TB, HIV/AIDS, etc to visit Hospital premises except for urgent unavoidable medical reasons.
It also prohibited spitting in and around the hospital or public places.
The hospital authority advised the public not to go/visit patients admitted to the hospital except for the caregiver/attendant while adding that only one attendant is permitted for admitted patients.
The hospital authority further advised every citizen to strictly follow COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviours, such as the use of face masks in hos-pitals/public places, washing hands with soap and water, or sanitizer before and after entering the hospital and public places.
