Minister commends roles of work force

Power minister
Thongam Biswajit said that
labourers should be given
priority status in the society.
Attending as chief guest of
the 67th foundation day celebration of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Manipur state
unit held at GM Hall here on
Saturday, Biswajit said that
labourers are one of the most
important components of
the society and they should
be accorded priority status.
About 60 to 65 per cent of
the total population of the
country are youth and the
Modi government is taking up various initiatives to
provide skill training to the
youth, who are the work
force of the country.
Further stating that labourers are categorised into
skilled and unskilled, he
stressed on the importance
of upgrading skill and making the unskilled labourers
well versed with different
livelihood trades through
relevant departments.
At
the same time, all types of
labourers should not feel
ashamed of their jobs and
professions.
Instead, they
should feel proud of their
profession and their sincere
lifestyle, the minister said,
while calling upon the work
force for cultivating positive
thoughts as it is the key to a
healthy and prosperous life.
On the other hand, negativity brings despair and
destruction in the society,
he added.
Underscoring the importance of women in bringing
development in a society
and making India self-reliant, the minister hailed
Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh
for its initiative to improve
the status of women in the
society.
