Meritorious students feted

Imphal, July 23 2022:
Heritage Convent on
Saturday presented cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each to its
students Nongmaithem Dhanajit and Tanishq Tongbram,
who secured second position in
the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE)
2022 conducted by Board of
Secondary Education (BSEM),
during a felicitation function
held at the school premises,

Seven students of Heritage
Convent had secured top positions in the exam including Dhanajit and Tanishq in
joint 2nd position, Kshetrimayum Tajkiran in 8th,
Matilda Lourembam in 11th,
Gloria Konthoujam in 12th,
Joytika Rajkumari in 17th and
Khwairakpam Dayarani in 24th
position.
Apart from Dhanajit and
Tanishq who were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh
each, the other five position
holders were presented with
cash reward of Rs 2 lakh each
as encouragement.
Students
who were subject toppers were
awarded Rs 5000 each, while
the teachers who helped in
producing excellent students
were awarded Rs 15,000 each.
Speaking at the event,
Heritage Convent executive
director S Bikramjit recalled
that the school first appeared
in the HSLC exam in 2012 and
has been producing toppers/
position holders since then.
He then credited the success to the teachers, students
and parents and urged for
concerted efforts to continue
producing exemplary students
in the future.
Meanwhile, Imphal West
District Police feted the children of its officers and personnel who passed the HSLC
examination with over 80 percent pass percentage, during
a function held at the Recreation Hall of Imphal West
District Police Head Quarters
here on Saturday.
During the
function, the students, which
also included two who secured
100 marks in Mathematics and
Higher Mathematics respectively and a 15th position holder, were presented with cash
incentives and certificates.
