District Skill Mela conducted at Senapati

Senapati, March 02 2023:
Under the aegis of Senapati district deputy commissioner, District Skill Committee, Senapati organised District Skill Mela the Mini Secretariat complex multipurpose hall on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Senapati DC Mahesh Chaudhari expressed gratitude to the committee and all partners of the event for working towards realisation of the goal of skill development under the advocacy of the Prime Minister and the state's chief minister.
He mentioned that Skill Development Orientation Programme of last year (2022) has been fruitful as 45 persons who underwent the training course have now got placement in different sectors across the state and country.
The DC also informed that building construction of the District Skill and Entrepreneur Centre at Maram Khunou, the foundation stone of which was laid by chief minister N Biren, is underway in full-swing.
He then advised students and young entrepreneurs present at the skill mela to take maximum advantages and inputs from the experts.
Mao ADM M Kapajit Singh, while delivering the welcome note, said that skill development of the youth has become a very important part in contemporary society as it empowers and build their confidence.
He also urged the young entrepreneurs and students of Senapati to seek valuable information as much as possible from the mela.
As part of the event, IIIT-Senapati faculty Dr Navanath Sharia presented a PPT on application of drone technology and edu cational opportunities at HIT, Senapati while officials of NIEL-IT, Senapati Extension Centre presented a demonstration on Internet of Things (IoT) .
A career guidance lecture on Defence Sector was delivered by Major Nikhil Bishnoi of 33 AR.
Testimonies were also shared by Leshini Krechena, Adakho Kaisa Maheo and Kehrii Mariiphro on career opportunity within India and overseas on different sectors.
EYE project by MANEDA on loan assistance for entrepreneurs was also introduced.
Later, an active interaction session was conducted followed by inspection of the stalls.
In total, 18 stalls were opened consisting of IIIT-Senapati, CAU, JACEEX, CIPET, NIELIT, Go Aviator, KVK-Senapati, KVK-Imphal East, OZONE, JCRE, Entrepreneurs Associate, Skill Traders, MANEDA, AMYAA, NGO, 33 Assam Rifles, VDVKs, Emporium, Times PRO ICICI Bank and Agriculture Department.
They were also the mela partners of the event.
The programme was attended by SDOs, DLOs, NGOs, young entrepreneurs, youth and students.
