Free ride offered on Chakkouba

Imphal, October 19 2021: Proprietor of Paokholloi (a unit of Saikhom Enterprises) Saikhom Ratanjit has announced that the cab service provider will provide free rides to women and drop them to their paternal homes if they face transportation issue on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.

Addressing press meet held at its RIMS Road office on Tuesday, S Ratanjit stated that a get together meeting of its partner drivers was held at Hotel Daani Continental on October 17.The meeting was also attended by representatives of Paokholloi along with Emoinu E-Rickshaw Association and Sangai E-Rickshaw Association both having 100 members each.

During the meeting, it was resolved that they will provide free transportation women who have transportation problem on the day of Ningol Chakkouba, he added.

Ratanjit informed that the free ride service by Paokholloi will cover areas up to 5 to 6 km radius from Imphal for this year.

The service will be carried out at 9 am and 10 am.

A 50 per cent discount will also be given for hiring cab service for which one can pre-book on October 30 and 31 by contacting mobile numbers 9362842464/8974010117, he stated, while appealing to public to support Paokholloi so that it can extend the service in the whole state from next year.

Emoinu E-Rickshaw Association secretary Keisham Saratkumar said that Paokholloi is providing the service for public in consideration of the drivers.

They may face problems in getting passengers along their regular routes, so Paokholloi is providing an opportunity to increase their income on top of doing service along their regular routes.

He also urged all the drivers' associations to get registered with Paokholloi and be part of a one unit for providing a better service to the people.
