KAOA office inaugurated

Kangpokpi, October 19 2021:
Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency MLA Nemcha Kipgen on Monday inaugurated the Kangpokpi Auto Owners' Association (KAOA) office at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen stressed on the importance of unity and service to mankind among the auto drivers of Kangpokpi and said, "Unity is an important element for the society we live in".
She stated that the principle of unity establishes happiness and peace in both society and the nation while adding that where there is peace and happiness, development is sure to come.
The MLA also appreciated the auto drivers for their contribution to society and encouraged them to work not only for livelihood but as a service to mankind.
She lauded the auto drivers for toiling hard day and night and even during emergencies by avoiding various illegal sources of livelihood where many people have indulged for easy money.
The MLA further exhorted the people of Kangpokpi AC to stop poppy cultivation and avoid such illegal practices which can ruin the society, especially the younger generation.
"Kangpokpi town is a mini India where all communities irrespective of caste, creed and religions live, coexist and work-together peacefully", said the MLA while encouraging everyone to maintain the prevailing peace and harmony.
James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi and Jangboi Kipgen, social worker also attended the inaugural ceremony as presidium members.
During the event, Nemcha Kipgen unveiled the inaugural plaque while Rev K Hangshing, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, dedicated the office.
KAOA president, Satlen Kipgen conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all the donors and contributors for the construction of the office and presented gifts as a token of gratitude and love.
Members of KAOA, representatives of Senapati Auto Owners' Association, Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization, Kangpokpi Youth Union, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship, village chiefs, and various civil society organizations also participated in the inaugural ceremony.
