Duty Magistrate Imphal West today remanded Chingngaihdim (46) who was arrested yesterday for allegedly preparing a fake Aadhaar card of Myanmar Nationals to seven days police custody.
Accused Chingngaihdim w/o Paulamthanga of Suangphuh village Churachandpur was produced before the Court by a team of Singjamei Police Station along with a prayer for seven days police remand till October 25.The IO of the case submitted that the 14 Myanmar Nationals were arrested from the Foreigner Check Post of Bir Tikendrajit International Airport while trying to board an Indigo flight for New Delhi using fake Aadhaar cards on September 30.Out of 14 Myanmar Nationals, 11 of them are presently injudicial custody and 3 juveniles are at observation home, the IO said.
The IO claimed that the police team arrested Chingngaihdim who helped in making fake Aadhaar cards of 5 Myanmar Nationals and in booking their flight tickets for New Delhi, yesterday.
Saying that Chingngaihdim admitted the charges levelled against her and also disclosed that the fake Aadhaar cards were made by one Mangkholen of Churachandpur, the IO prayed for more days of police custody of Chingngaihdim to arrest Mangkholen.
The Court after hearing the submission of the IO and on perusal of the case record remanded Chingngaihdim to police custody till October 25 .
