Financial literacy camp organised at Ukhrul

Ukhrul, October 19 2021:
State Bank of India, Ukhrul branch and CSPs on Tuesday organised a 'Financial literacy camp' on Social Security Schemes and opening of bank accounts (free of cost) at Sacred Heart Secondary School, Hungpung, Ukhrul.
It was attended by Reisang Singnaisui, AGM Financial inclusion, SBI Zonal Office Shillong; Baite, CM, FSH, SBI RBO Imphal; Dr Meitram Uttam Luwang, Branch Manager, SBI Ukhrul; Father TM Gabriel, Principal, Sacred Heart School, CSPs of Ukhrul District; students, parents and people of nearby villages.
Around 50 SBI bank accounts were opened and more than 50 people enrolled themselves in social security schemes.
During the camp, the people were sensitised on various social security schemes of the Government of India like PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.
It may be mentioned that to avail all these social security schemes one has to have an account at banks or post office.
