Losii Dikho inaugurates Ngulhao Theological Seminary building at Motbung

PHE Minister Losii Dikho on Tuesday inaugurated the Ngulhao Theological Seminary building at Motbung in Kangpokpi District.
The Minister unveiled the inaugural plaque in the presence of Kangpokpi AC MLA, Nemcha Kipgen and Motbung Model village chief, Kaikhosei Lhouvum before it was dedicated by Rev Dr Vumthang Sitlhou, president Thadou Baptist Association India.
Addressing the gathering, Losii Dikho expressed his happiness on being part of such an important event and said, "Church, today, is so important for all of us and I am extremely happy and congratulate all of you for taking the initiative and pain to come up with such an important institution called Ngulhao Theological Seminary".
He stressed on the importance of the Church in the society and stated that many people have failed to acknowledge it but people who depend on prayer could see the contributions rendered by the Church in the growth of the society and the State at large.
The Minister also appealed to the people to live in harmony without any bias or discrimination and to give respect to all the community.
Nemcha Kipgen stated that no one can live with bread alone, so without Christ, nothing is impossible for human beings.
She said, "TBA is one of the oldest denominations among the Thadou community and I believed Ngulhao Theological Seminary would bring huge changes in the theological field and it will definitely produce good theological leaders in the society".
Pastor Kaikhothang Singsit, Principal, Ngulhao Theological Seminary, while highlighting the background of the seminary said that Ngulhao Thomsong was a visionary amongst the tribal and to enable the new generations, follow his footsteps in God's ministry, a Bible School in his memory christened Ngulhao Memorial Bible School was founded in 1958.The Bible School has produced many committed mission workers.
However, as the School ceased to function for a few years, it was revived in 1997 and renamed Ngulhao Theological Seminary (NTS), he added.
Chairman of the Ngulhao Theological Seminary Governing Board, Seilet Singsit stated that the NTS is in its initial stage and urged dignitaries, Church leaders, public leaders, village chiefs to assist in providing the required infrastructure for welfare of the future generations.
The event culminated with an inaugural feast.
