Minister Vungzagin holds 'Constituency Surgery'

To maintain cordial relationship with his constituents, TA & Hills minister Vungzagin Valte, who is also the minister in-charge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts, visited his constituency since Monday and held 'constituency surgery' at different villages.
He also attended the closing ceremony of the 2nd Niangzen Memorial Football Tournament closing ceremony at Thanlon Lawmhoih Ground, Thanlon.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister expressed his gratitude to the people who have cooperated and worked hard with the government in accelerating developmental projects in the area.
Minister Vungzagin expressed elation that most of the villages in the area have all weather roads and all the villages electrified through installation of four power sub-stations in the constituency during his tenure.
Out of 63 villages in the constituency, 19 have been provided drinking water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) while tendering process for another 44 villages are underway for construction at the cost of Rs 30,000 crore, he added.
Vungzagin also highlighted his contribution for the people during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as procuring and delivering different consumable items like rice, dal, oil etc., and said the then impending food scarcity is now over.
