Despite issues such as the pandemic which raged on for 2 years and most recently, the war between Ukraine and Russia, Manipur is calmly ushering in a new normal, which would lead to a new wave of peace and prosperity in the state.
Thus, the conduct of the mega Export Conclave' is well-timed in the context of the above, he remarked and appreciated the organisers.
In his speech, Michael Achom highlighted the importance of export in improving the economy, adding that e-commerce has increased export opportunities.
However, the field is quite competitive and as such, our products should maintain a high standard of quality as its attraction point.
At present, Chak-hao and other organic products are the top export items of the state.
Meanwhile, Manipur has an abundant supply of medici nal plants.
Thus, consumable products relating to health care could also be exported.
How ever, one needs to be aware of schemes and technicalities relating to export, he stated, while stressing the need for easing the processes/activities related to export.
During the Conclave, the attending entrepreneurs displayed their products, along with specific products from different districts.
Two technical sessions were also conducted as part of the Conclave.
