Career guidance event organised

44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector/Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organised a career guidance and coun selling camp at Tamenglong town on Wednesday.
In a release, PRO (Defence) informed that the event was aimed to guide the young students of the district for shaping their future in the right direction.
An information centre was also displayed by the unit to motivate the youth join the Indian Armed Forces and provide them the right path to choose among the various options in the defence forces.
The students were very keen and inquisitive throughout the lecture.
A total of 200 students along with teachers and parents joined the event and got enlightened regarding various career options.
Taking the opportunity the commandant of 44 AR addressed the youths to dream big and then work relentlessly to pursue the dream.
He asked them to join the armed forces and don the uniform with honour so that they can contribute positively to the nation building.
During the lecture, emphasis was also laid on the importance of a vibrant education system for a progressive society.
It was stressed upon the fact that education helps in curbing social menaces like drug abuse, etc., and advised the students and parents to make maximum use of the education facilities available.
The students were motivated to go for higher education which will help them in getting good jobs and thus contributing to their growth as well as the growth of the society.
