37th Men's State Polo Tourney : MPSC-C, CHPC-A win to complete semi-final line up

MPSC-C and CHPC-A register almost similar wins in the last two quarter final matches of the 37th Men's State Polo Tournament being organised by the All Manipur Polo Association (AMPA) at its Iroisemba ground.
MPSC-C made it to the quarter final by beating Tekcham Polo Club by 7-4 goals today.
MPSC-C took off the game on a bright note with Kh Arunkumar and S Abungcha Khuman scoring a goal each in the first chukker to enjoy a 2-0 lead.
K Jogendra Singh of Tekcham Polo Club pulled back a goal in the 3rd minute of the second chukker but S Biking converted a chance to help MPSC-C retain the two goal cushion.
Tekcham Polo Club managed to add two goals in the third chukker, one each via M Kuber Singh and S Jemson to pull level but MPSC-C pumped in four goals against their one in the fourth chukker to wrap up the game 7-4 .
It was S Jemson who found the target for the Tekcham team as W Roshan and M Jawan added a goal each and S Bimol hit twice for the winning side.
MPSC-C will play MPSC-B in the first semi-final on March 25 .
Later in the day, CHPC-A rode on a treble by L Thomson to carve out a 6-3 win against K&MM Riding School, Singjamei and set up a semi-final date with X Polo Club.
CHPC-A started slowly and trailed behind by a goal till the first chukker as W Jony opened the scoring for the Singjamei team.
Th Basanta struck the lone goal for CHPC-A in the second chukker to close out the gap and the two sides were level till the third chukker as O Rozer scored for CHPC-A and L Dhaneshwor scored for K&MM RS.CHPC-A raced ahead in the penultimate chukker as L Thomson scored three of his goals back to back in the first, second and third minute before Th Kaoba rounded up the scoring.
W Jony pulled back another goal for K&MM RS late in the dying seconds of the final chukker to make it 3-6 at the end.
