Railways can ensure jobs to 10K Manipuris: MK Paswan

Bharatiya Railway Malgodam Shramik Sangh national in-charge Manoranjan Kumar Paswan has said that around 10,000 unemployed youths of Manipur could be given jobs by opening 10 -12 warehouses when the railway enters the state.
Manoranjan Kumar Paswan stated this after opening a branch of Bharatiya Railway Malgodam Shramik Sangh (BRMGSS) at Nambol bazar on Tuesday.
Speaking as chief guest of the event, Manoranjan informed that railway service in the country began from the time of the British and numerous transformations from time to time have changed a lot in the railway service.
He said that Indian Railway is now one of the largest in the world with very high revenue.
Contributions of workers working at railway Malgodam is enormous in the success of Indian railway system.
More than 9 lakh railway workers join BRMGSS, he added.
According to Manoranjan, Indian railways will soon reach Manipur and Myanmar border and trains will connect all the states of the North East.
When railway arrives, there could be around 10-12 rail Malgodam in Manipur and these warehouses could provide jobs to more than 10,000 unemployed youths of the state.
BRMGSS is the biggest and active union for workers working at rail Malgodam across the country, he added.
Expressing happiness over opening of a branch office of BRMGSS in Manipur, Manoranjan appealed to people of the state to register with the union so as to get railway related jobs.
BRMGSS Manipur branch president Laishram Anand said that workers working at Indian Railways' Malgodam took big role when the entire country was hit by COVID-19 pandemic.
Several railway posts like Munsi and Sardar could be created when rail service begins in Manipur and this opportunity should be grabbed by unemployed youth of the state, he said and appealed to people to visit BRMGSS Manipur office for information on registration to the union.
The opening of BRMGSS Manipur branch office was also attended by 16 AR Subedar Dilipkumar; BRMGSS NE in-charge Sanjay Kalita and BRMGSS Manipur advisor Uttam Bodo.
