Unveiling, blessing prog of Longvao Paorain held

Onaeme Union comprising eight villages on Tuesday gathered at Ngamju village to unveil and bless the memorial tomb of Longvao Paoraih, son of T Kah Paoram of Ngamju village.
It may be mentioned here that Longvao Paoraih was shot dead by CISF personnel deployed at 47/49 Polling Station in Ngamju village on March 5, duringthe re-poll of 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, 2022 .
Longvao succumbed to his injuries at Oinam PHC, Senapati district on the same day.
The memorial tomb has been erected in his native Ngamju village to honour the services and sacrifices he had rendered for the Union.
"The death of Longvao Paoraih shall continue to serve as the epitome of patriotism for one's blood for the younger generation," said the Union president at the programme.
During the memorial function, senior Union leaders like former minister Benjamin Banee and BJP state vice president Yuh Jonathan Tao, also recounted the sacrifices made by Longvao and called for greater unity of the Union irrespective of diverse existence.
The family of Longvao also expressed their heartfelt thanks to chief minister N Biren Singh for his assistance, Union executives, all the eight villages of Onaeme Union, youth leaders, friends and well-wishers for their compassion and empathy during their excruciating phase of their lives.
Senior and current leaders of the Union, church leaders, village authority representatives, youth leaders, friends and well-wishers also attended the function.
