Free cardiac health camp held at Moreh

Moreh, November 22 2022:
Imphal Heart Institute (IHI) and Amity University Noida, UP jointly organised a free cardiac health camp at Moreh Primary Health Centre (PHC) on Tuesday.
The health camp was attended by IHI chief cardiac surgeon and director Dr Arambam Athouba Singh, Senior M/ODrH Jessica, DNB medicine consultant Dr Akoijam Bishorjit Singh and Amity University principal investigator Prof Rajib Janardhanan.
People settling in Moreh and some from neighbouring Myanmar's Tamu town took benefit of the health camp.
Speaking in this regard, Dr Athouba informed that though around 2 crore people around the world die due to heart attack every year 80 per cent of heart attack patients could be saved if treatment is provided timely.
In view of improvement in the Covid, free cardiac health camps are being organised in different areas of Manipur to detect and treat heart patients, Athouba said and explained that there are 40 per cent chances of heart disease if one finds trouble in breathing, and pain in heart while running or going upstairs.
If that is the case, then they should consult doctors at the earliest, he added.
PHC, Moreh staffers and ASHA workers of Moreh block also assisted in the conduct of the camp.
