Four more infected, active cases rise to 6

Imphal, May 27 2022:
Number of active Covid-19 cases in the state reached six on Friday as four new positive cases were detected out of 95 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus registering a positivity rate of 4.2 per cent.
One of the four fresh cases is a resident of Imphal West while the remaining three are from Imphal East district.
All the six active cases are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,236 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The victims include 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
So far, the state has recorded 11,448 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 16 new positive cases and zero fatality.
A total of 143 D-type and 12 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 1777 vaccine doses administered on Thursday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,68,311, out of which 12,26,581 had received second doses and 95,538 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48751), Imphal East (30451), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,226 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 (as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,694 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,19,662 tests per million population against the national average of 6,03,543 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate came down to 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.51 per cent.
