Army, AR conduct medical camps

Imphal, June 09 2023:
Sustaining the ef-forts to provide essential medical and healthcare service to people in vio-lence-affected Bishnupur and Churachandpur dis-tricts, Indian Army and Assam Rifles collaborated with the district admin-istration and medical authorities in organising two medical camps on Saturday.
According to PRO (Defence), the medical camps were organised simultaneously at Kapran village and at a relief camp in Ningthoukhong under Bishnupur district, during which 1000 per-sons were screened for treatment.
Six doctors including a lady doctor, a dental sur-geon and three doctors of civil administration ex-tended medical services in the two camps, the PRO informed, adding that medicines and basic healthcare items were also distributed during the camp.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles medical posts set up in several locations including Tengnoupal and Kwatha provided medical aid to 14 patients includ-ing an underage boy on Friday.
According to PRO [GAR (S), Assam Rifles at Moreh also offered free medicines and treatment to five villagers, further contributing to the over-all healthcare support in the region.
