Cong, others to go to New Delhi

A delegation of Congress party and 10 other like-minded parties would soon be going to New Delhi to apprise Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the violent crisis besieging the State since May 3 .
A joint meeting of Congress party and 10 other political parties including CPI, CPI(M), JD(U), All India Forward Bloc, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Shiv Sena (Udhav Thackeray), All India Trinamool Congress, NCP and AAP was held today at the Congress Bhavan with MPCC president K Meghachandra in the chair.
The meeting which started at 2 pm and continued till 5.30 pm was attended by CLP leader O Ibobi, CWC Member Gaikhangam, CPI leader Dr M Nara, JD(U) Manipur State unit president Kshetrimayum Biren, CPI(M) Manipur State Council leader Kshetrimayum Santa, JD(U) National Executive Member Dr Nimaichand Luwang and many other political leaders attended the meeting.
The meeting adopted three resolutions which included condemnation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's complete silence on the 36 days old violent crisis.
Sending a delegation of the political parties to New Delhi to talk with the Prime Minister on the Manipur violence in order to bring a solution and restore normalcy in the State and holding a special session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly to deliberate on the current crisis and work out a solution were the other two resolutions of the meeting.
