Finer points of becoming an actor discussed

To become prominent and better actors in life, upcoming artists should first focus on understanding their culture and tradition thoroughly, Narendra Ningomba, a renowned artist and columnist of Hueiyen Lanpao (Manipuri Edition) has stated while speaking during a day-long Counseling Programme for Artists at LS Cinema Hall, Thoubal Okram today.
Held under the theme 'How To Develop The Artists of Manipur Towards Becoming An Actor', the counseling programme was organized jointly by Epak Films Productions Manipur and Artist Development Club, Thoubal.
Narendra further stated that to become a better actor, one also needs to work honestly to understand the dialects and cultures of our forefathers.
"One should feel that what I am doing is not only for myself, these are also for the people and the State, because a good actor can definitely lead a society to the right direction.
So, apart from costumes, every actor should be pay attention and be cautious of everything", he added.
Renowned actor and film maker Khwairakpam Bishwamitra also spoke on the occasion.
The inaugural function of the programme was attended by L Surjakanta, chairman of Film Forum Manipur as chief guest, S.Lakhpati Mangang, vice president of Epak Films Productions as president and Film Maker OC.
