Even as a Metropolitan Magistrate, New Delhi directed police to arrest RK Sanahal, proprietor of the RK Sanahal Construction Limited of Nagamapal Soram Leirak, police could not trace the accused.
Subsequently, the case has been adjourned.
The Metropolitan Magistrate issued the order acting on a complaint filed by one Laishram (O) Ranisana w/o L Subhash of Wangoo Sandangkhong but staying at DDA Phase II, Katwaria Saraj, New Delhi.
As directed by the Court to arrest and bring Sanahal to the Court, a team of Delhi Police came to Imphal on August 25 last year and searched for Sanahal.
But Sanahal was not found at Nagamapal Soram Leikai.
The Court had already pronounced Sanahal guilty under IPC Sections 323, 354, 394, 452, 506 and 420 and Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
However, as the accused could not be produced before the Court, the case was adjourned after the October 1, 2012 hearing.
The Court instructed relevant officials to keep documents of the case in the record room.
In case the accused can be arrested or produced before the Court, the case may be revived, said the ruling issued by the Metropolitan Magistrate.
