In a bid to solve the problem of traffic congestion, parking arrangement and dumping site of garbage in and around Khwairamband market areas, Superintendent of Police, Imphal West, K Jayanta Singh has appealed all to follow some rules.
In a statement, the SP has specially asked the shopkeepers not to display their articles along the footpath or throw garbage mindlessly.
Asking all the associations/groups, which have been assigned by IMC for arranging parking lots in the market area to possess authorization letter from the authority, the SP warned that those who do not possess the authorization letter would not be allowed to main parking lots in the bazaar area.
Entry of vehicle for loading and unloading of goods inside the bazaar area would be banned after 8.30 in the morning daily and thereafter no heavy vehicles would be allowed to entry into the market area till 6 pm every day, the SO announced.
Taking serious note over converting plantation sites into dumping pit, the SP also appealed to all the shop owners/keepers to take care of the plants that have been planted by government in front of their respective shops for beautification of the city.

District police will strictly monitor the observance of these rules, and defaulters would be dealt as per law, the SP warned.
