Relief camp for hailstorm affected people opens

Imphal, May 05 2013:
The District Disaster Management Authority Committee has set up a relief camp for the hailstorm affected families of New Lamka area at PT Sports Complex.
Some 27 families, whose houses have been damaged in the hailstorm, are still taking shelter at the relief camp, while most other affected families have moved out to settle with their relatives.

The District Administration, Young Paite Association and other social organisations and individuals are providing relief materials including food items to the affected families.
Among other social organations, MSF has provided relief materials including blankets, mosquito nets, match boxes, candles, towels, soaps, carpets, etc to every affected family in the relief camp.
