Imphal, February 21 2022:
BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Ch Chidananda has remarked that Rahul Gandhi's visit to the state would only reduce Congress' seats in Manipur to a single digit.
Speaking to newspersons in connection with the AICC leader's visit to the state on Monday, Chidananda commented that his (Rahul) visit to the state has reduced Congress' hope of winning many seats in the upcoming polls to a single digit.
He could be regarded as visually impaired as he Failed to understand the works taken up the BJP government in the last 5 years.
Congress is losing its relevance in the country because of leaders like him, the BJP VP stated.
Chidananda continued: "Rahul did not acknowledge Ima Keithel or the vendors sitting in the markets, thereby failing to understand grievances of the vendors.
His accusations of BJP forcefully governing the state is strange, especially considering the murders, tyranny and politics of association which were practised by Congress during its rule for 15 years from 2002-2017 .
Meanwhile, CM Biren-led government became the people's government.
No fake encounters occurred during BJP's rule of 5 years.
"The people are more aw?re of the outreach of the BJP-led government compared to that of the then Congress government.
As such, they will not believe the words which are spoken for the sake of election campaign.
Members of Congress do not trust each other, as was proven by the recent show of taking pledges in places of worship.
Congress' ideology is about holding the party's interests more gravely than national interest.
The visit has not only shown party's unending habit of criticising PM Modi, but also that of the state.
Rahul Gandhi failed to understand the importance of national integration and he showed his obsession of speaking only for the sake of election, while ignoring the efforts of the BJP government during the pandemic.
The 5-year old BJP government has challenged everything undertaken by the 15 year rule of Congress government", he stated.
Meanwhile, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda stated that lack of a vision document and clear responsibility of the successive governments led by Congress is the main reason for the high rate of unemployment in the country even after 75 years of independence.
Speaking during an interaction programme of the minority voters of Andro AC with its BJP candidate Th Shyamkumar organised by BJP Andro Mandal at the latter's Ngariyan Chingkhong residence on Monday, Sharda asserted that the Narendra Modi-led government does not discriminate anyone and as such, has been ensuring delivery of central government welfare schemes to all deserving beneficiaries.
If BJP were to form the government, it would implement all the schemes mentioned in its manifesto, she added.
In his speech, Th Shyamkumar urged all to stop spreading misinformation among the Meitei-Pangal community that it would be "Haram" if the Islam followers vote for BJP.
The party is not in conflict with the Islamic religion in any form, he contended.
