State logs 11 fresh cases, nine recoveries

Imphal, August 22 2022:
The state on Monday reported 11 new positive cases from seven districts, out of 482 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered 2.3 per cent test positivity rate.
The 11 fresh cases (7 males & 4 females) are residents of Imphal West (1), Imphal East (1), Churachandpur (4), Bishnupur (1), Noney (1), Thoubal (1) and Ukhrul (2) districts.
Monday also reported nine recoveries from home isolation (6), JNIMS (2) and Shija Hospital (1) .
Number of active cases rose to 102 from 100 on Sunday, out of which 63 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Monday.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2145 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,39,620 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 30 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 55 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 134 D-type and 40 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 894 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,24,994, including 12,96,938 who had received the second dose and 2,33,481 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49750), Imphal East (32006), Thoubal (10286), Churachandpur (11246), Kangpokpi (3181), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur 9966), Senapati (2543), Ukhrul (3361), Kakching (6970), Chandel (2787), Noney (1172), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1051), and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (516), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur 1206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul 51), Kakching (124), Chandel 43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal 16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
