Kakching, August 22 2022:
Kakching Runners has appealed all the CSOs, students' organisations and other groups not to call bandh or general strike between September 9 to 12 in view of the 3rd edition of the World War II Memorial Run on September 11 .
Colonel (retd) Naorem Ranjit, event director of the race said this during a press conference held at Kakching Ningthou Leikai today and added that the last date of registration for the said race has also been extended till August 30 .

He added that runners from across India including world record holder for running the most number of marathons in three years namely Thiru Ma Subramaniam, who is also the current Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu have signed up for the race.
The race is being organised in two categories of 21.1 kms (half marathon) and 10kms (fun run) .
Runners can register for the same at the official website of Kakching runners by paying an entry fee of Rs 1200 for the 21.1 kms category and Rs 600 for 10kms (fun run) category.
