Youth beaten to death in Senapati town

Senapati, February 06 2014:
A 28-year old youth identified as A.Shepao from Makhrelui village of Senapati town was brutally beaten to death allegedly by some hill based militants.
He was a native of Tungjoy village but staying at Makhrelui.
According to sources, Shepao went to a shop to purchase sandal with a friend.
The incident occurred after the two bought a pair of sandals each from the shop belonging to Nirala, a native of Bihar.
Later, the deceased A.Shepao was whisked away by the suspected militants and beaten to death.
The body of the deceased was returned in the early hours today to deceased's residence by some unidentified persons.
It is still not clear why the man was beaten to death.
Agitated people gathered at the Senapati town in the morning to condemn the brutal killing of Shepao but was put on hold because of the Nagas' "Alternative Arrangement" talk in the district headquarter.
Meanwhile, Makhrelui Village Youth has strongly condemned the act of brutally murdering A.Shepao and demanded for immediate arrest of the culprits and punishment as per the law of the land.
It has also warned that those responsible should clarify for the act, failure of which will compel it to launch intense agitation.
