Kanggui, February 06 2014:
Reacting to the outcome of the 7th Round of Tripartite Talk involving Government of India, Government of Manipur and United Naga Council that took place at Senapati district headquarters today, Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has categorically stated that whatever be the outcome of the talk, it is not accepted by the Kukis since the motive behind the talk is purely for disintegration of Manipur and disturbance of peace and tranquillity among the people of the state.
Khaimang Chongloi, Secretary of KIM, said that the apex body of the Kukis wants that any political talk must be for all indigenous people and any kind of political arrangement for one particular tribe is against the integrity of Manipur and it would sowing the seed of a civil war.
"905 innocent Indian Kuki civilian were killed and murdered because of UNC's Quit Notice on October 22, 1992 while 360 Indian Kuki villages were uprooted and rendered 100,000 Indian Kukis homeless" pointed out KIM Secretary while adding that before settlement of this issue and giving justice, Kukis would not accept any outcome of the tripartite talk with UNC.
KIM secretary also maintained that the stand of the Kuki Inpi is not only for the Kukis but for the whole state of Manipur to safeguard its integrity and ensure peace and harmony among the various ethnic groups living in the State.
Therefore, all intellectual and light minded individual denizens of Manipur should wake up from their deep slumber and stand united to safeguard the Integrity of the State.
