Birth anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu observed at Mumbai

Vidyanidhi Educational Institute, Mumbai observed the 99th birthday anniversary of late Padmashree Rani Ma Gaidinliu at its complex on January 26, 2014 .
According to delayed report reaching here, the observance function was attended by Prof.Gangmumei Kamei, Rtd.
Dean of Manipur University as Chief Guest and he was joined by Founder members of Upanagar ShikshanMandal (USM) Shriram Mantri and NeelkanthJukar along with Secretary of USM, Dr.Kritida Mehta and President of USM, Padmanabh Acharya as Presidium members.
Prof Gangmumei Kamei spoke about the contribution made by Late Hijam Irabot of Manipur, Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi of Assam, Reverend Nicholas Roy of present Meghalaya, Dr.Daying Ering of present Arunachal Pradesh and Padmashree Rani Ma Gaidinliu of Nagaland and Manipur.
Pointing that equity in development is the need of the hour in North East which is rich in wealth and minerals but the people are poor, Prof Gangmumei observed that the misconception that the North East is full of terrorists must be uprooted as the people of North east are all patriots who love their country as much as the people of mainland India.
President of USM PadmanabhAcharya said, it is a small attempt to bring understanding and love between the mainland Indians and the North East Indians.
This will help in bringing national integration as well as development in the Noth Eastern Region.
