4-month skill upgradation training begins at Santhel

The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Thoubal has commenced a 4 month 'Skill Upgradation Training Programme in Computer' at Santhel Mayai Leikai under Kakching block today with an aim to upgrade vocational skills amongst rural women, a statement issued by NYK, Thoubal said.
Altogether, 20 girls from Hangul, Ngakhapat, Trapishak and Santhel have registered for the training programme.
Md Azad Khan will be the instructor of the training programme.
T Ranjit Singh, IAS, DC, Thoubal initiated the training programme at Santhel Mayai Leikai today.
Md Sikander Ali, pradhan, Hayel Hangul Gram Panchayat, Sanatomba Singh, Addl DIO, NIC, Thoubal, Jailshyam Singh, Director, JSS, Wangjing and local religious leaders also attended the opening event.
Speaking at the occasion, Md Shikander Ali thanked NYK Thoubal for the initiative.
He said the training will help improve computer skills of the villagers at Santhel.
The training programme will also empower women by upgrading their skills for a better living in the day to day world,
the pradhan stated.
