Appeal of IMA Manipur State

Indian Medical Association (IMA) Manipur State Branch has appealed to all concerned particularly relatives of patients not to resort to mob justice and violence in case of an unfortunate demise of a patient in spite of the best efforts of doctor.
A press release from the State Secretary IMA Manipur State Branch, Dr Ng Arunkumar said that the best option for everyone is to conduct an inquiry by the concerned authorities to establish the fact of the case.
The press release said that one Laishram Ajit Singh (53) of Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai was initially examined by Dr Kh Ibomcha of JNIMS and later died at Shija Hospital on September 13 last.
It was alleged that the patient died due to negligence of the doctor.
Extending deepest condolence to the family of the deceased, the press release also appealed to all concerned not to harass the doctor and his family members physically and mentally until the fact is established after a proper inquiry by the concerned authority.
