Education Minister says Govt has been working earnestly to promote innovators, entrepreneurs

Education Minister, Th Basantakumar has categorically stated that the Government is taking up various schemes and policy programmes to promote innovators and entrepreneurs in the State.
He made the above statement while speaking at the inaugural function of 'Technovation - 2022', a two day workshop cum exhibition of grassroot technological inventions organised by Manipur Science and Technology Council in association with Atal Incubation Centre-SELCO Foundation, Guwahati.
Technovation - 2022 is being held at the auditorium of Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat.
Various innovative products invented by the innovators of the State will be showcased during the exhibition.

The Minister further maintained that to uplift the entrepreneurship level in the State, the Government has been launching start-up schemes.
Expressing that fast changing technological advancements which have made the world a global village, he appealed to the upcoming young innovators of the State to make the best use of such technological advancements.
With regards to the incubation centres opened by the State Government at Manipur Technical University and DM University, he urged the young innovators to utilise the facilities of these centres to promote new ideas and innovations.
The Minister expressed joy at seeing the numerous innovative products being showcased at the exhibition and commended the efforts of the inventors.
The inaugural function was also graced by DM University Vice-Chancellor, Professor N Rajmuhon Singh; Commissioner (S&T) Govt of Manipur and Member secretary MASTEC, M Yaiskul Meitei and AIC-SELCO Foundation CEO, Dr Ditismita Chowbay as the presidium members.
