Innovators' meet commences

A two-day innovators' meet, which is being organised jointly by Manipur Science and Technology Council (MASTEC) and Atal Incubation Centre-Selco Foundation, Guwahati commenced from Thursday at Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, education minister Th Basanta urged youth and emerging innovators and entrepreneurs to take advantage of incubation centres set up in the state.
He also said that the government has been encouraging entrepreneurs and innovators by making policies and initiating schemes.
The innovators' meet, exhibition and workshop that commenced from Thursday with an objective to groom innovators will surely encourage the people, the youth in particular, he added.
Stating that Manipur is filled with talents, not only in sport and culture, Basantakumar expressed confidence that there will be notable changes in the next five years.
The inaugural programme was also attended by Dhanamanjuri University vice chancellor Prof N Rajmuhon, Science and Technology commissioner and MASTEC member secretary M Yaiskul Meitei and Atal Incubation Centre-SELCO Foundation CEO Dr Ditismita Choubey as presidium members.
In all, 30 innovators are exhibiting their products in the meet cum exhibition.
