35 test positive in last 48 hours

Imphal, January 02 2022:
Altogether 35 persons, all civilians, tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 48 hours (19 on December 31 and 16 on January 1, 2022) to take the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 1,25,823 including 4,440 Central security personnel.
One death was reported on January 1, 2022 from Bishnupur district according to the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee to take the total number of fatalities to 2003 .
The deceased had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated.
The 35 persons who tested positive for the virus in the last 48 hours are from Imphal East (7), Imphal West (15), Thoubal (6), Bishnupur (4), Kakching (2) and Tengnoupal (1) .
On the other hand 18 persons were discharged in the last 48 hours from home isolation (3), RIMS (4), JNIMS (4) and CCCs (7) .
With the recovery of 18 more persons in the last 48 hours, the total number of recovered cases is 1,23,605 inclusive of 4,428 .
The number of active cases is now 215 including 7 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.24 percent.
In the last 48 hours, a total of 1876 vaccine doses were administered to take the total to 23,16,105 including 9,91,082 second dose.
On January 1 a total of 184 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 91 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
