Imphal, January 02 2022:
BJP's intending candidate from Uripok assembly constituency Kh Raghumani condemned the NPP for not upholding the ethics of an alliance partner and not contributing enough to the BJP led government in the state.
Attending a political conference held at Uripok Laikhurembi community hall here on Sunday, Raghumani said that he has fair knowledge of the works done by the BJP led government as he held the helm in different departments but could not comprehend any significant contribution from NPP during the present term.
Instead, the party created certain unwanted issues within the government, he said, while calling NPP as a political entity without a firm stand and ideology.
Apart from taking up various initiatives for the welfare of the state and its people, BJP made Manipur free from bandh and blockade, the retired IAS officer said and expressed as the next government will be a BJP government, it is up to the people of Uripok AC to elect a BJP candidate in order to bring real development in the constituency.
He also slammed the sitting MLA of the constituency for keeping Uripok as one of the most backward constituencies of the state despite its location in the heart of Imphal city and the MLA being the deputy chief minister.
The public could not see the MLA helping the Covid affected people during the peak of the pandemic, he claimed.
Raghumani further said that he took voluntary retirement from government service with the objective to serve the public, and urged the people of the constituency to support him in the 2022 election.
He also assured of providing additional pension fund to widows and older persons, and also support youth to promote entrepreneurship in the constituency if he got elected.
