Imphal, December 23 2022: The lifeless body of a man was found at Awang Leikinthabi Canal under Sekmai PS on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Achom Henry Meitei (36) s/o A Dhanachandra of Thangmeiband Polem Leikai, presently residing at Awang Leikinthabi.

According to a police report, Henry had been remaining missing after an incident at a farmhouse in Leikinthabi at around 5 pm on December 20.His body was found around 2.50 pm on Friday by the locals, who informed the police immediately.

A team of Sekmai PS accompanied by forensic experts arrived at the scene and carried out inquest after which the body has been brought to RIMS Morgue for post mortem examination.

Sekmai PS has registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.
