Imphal Peace Museum 'shines' at New York event

Imphal, October 09 2021: India has been awarded Silver in the field of interior design and architecture in the Muse Design Awards 2021, New York on Saturday with Imphal Peace Museum, Nambol, the project entry of Huidrom Design Studio, Khurai Salanthong, Chaithibi Leirak shining for India in the competitive category of Interior Design (Pavilions & Exhibition).

In a release, Huidrom Design Studio principal designer Suresh Huidrom informed that the competition had more than 43,000 entries, 180 plus international judges and participation from over 102 countries.

China was awarded the Platinum and United States of America the Gold in the field of interior design and architecture.

Muse Design Award is organised by International Awards Association (IAA) and the Award honours design professionals of various expertise, to reward and encourage the future stars and to help move the industries forward, it added.

Suresh Huidrom in the statement said, "This award and recognition itself shows that we are very rich in art and culture which we need to explore more and more in the field of architecture" .

"It also demonstrates to the rest of the world that we can also design and built for better future," he added.

The release further pointed out the Imphal Peace Museum has received many recognition and awards including India's Best Design Award 2019 for the creativity & innovative interior design and was nominated finalist at Society of British Interior Design & International Award 2021 for the Best Interior Design.
