Work on DC office building underway

Noney, October 09 2021: The construction work of DCs office building and security barrack at Longmai Part-1, Noney district is going on in full swing.

The construction of the 150-foot long and 41 -foot-wide G+2 building started in March this year with the target of completing it by October.

The work, however, was delayed due to the outbreak of COVID -19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown imposed for containing spread of the contagious virus.

Speaking to media persons, Longmai Village Authority chairman Kasaigai Gangmei explained that out of 56 pillars on the ground floor only two are now left for completion.

"We, the village authority, are giving logistic support and local management for early completion of the district infrastructure projects," he added, while appealing to contractors concerned to bring in construction materials like 'Dimapur sand' and steel in time so as to avoid delay in construction.

The village authority also demanded increase in the number of labourers.
