Cycle rally marks Palliative Care Day

Imphal, October 09 2021:
In connection with the observance of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, Palliative Care Society, Imphal along with MAAMBA and 'Doctor on Pedal' organised a cycle rally on the theme Leave no one behind, equity in access to palliative care' on Saturday.
The cycle rally was flagged off by Health services director Dr K Rajo in the morning from Kangla gate.
Speaking on the sidelines, Dr K Rajo pointed out that palliative care service is one of the healthcare services which aim to provide relief to people who are on their dead bed.
Teams of palliative care service provide their services by visiting homes of the patients, he added.
He further said that the cycle rally was being organised to make the people aware about palliative care service.
Health and wellness centres in the state are also providing the service.
The cycle rally concluded at IMA, Lamphel.
