Blue Hawk, MPSC, YUCC & YWC cruise in MNCA Luwangpokpa Trophy

The 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa Trophy on Friday saw Blue Hawk, MPSC, YUCC and YWC enjoy easy wins in their respective league matches.
Blue Hawk thrashed CDCC by 95 runs at Cherapur.
They opted to bat first and scored 167/6 in the allotted 20 overs.
In the innings, Mintu Chandra smashed 54 off 35 balls while Amom Guniram got 31, Wakambam Samson made 28, Mutum Sudhir scored 17, Nongthombam Ajit was unbeaten on 16, and Becker was not out for 10.In response, CDCC could only muster 72 after being bowled out in 16.1 overs.
Mandingbam Surjit led the scalping for Blue Hawk with 3 wickets, Fm Sharif picked up 2 wickets, and K Robert and M Jodiba took one each in their convincing win.
MPSC, on the other hand, sealed a comprehensive 101-run victory against AKSDO at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Electing to bat, MPSC posted a total of 179/1 as Gelson Thoudam shone with the bat, hitting 83 off 70 balls.
Sagolsem Sunil also impressed with an unbeaten 58 and P Bonem was not out for 1.MPSC then needed 17.5 overs to bundle out AKS-DO for 78 for their emphatic success.
Sarangthem Shangker was the pick of the bowlers for MPSC.
He claimed 4 scalps while M Bijoykumar and Indraban S Koijam grabbed 2 wickets each, with O Rojit and P Bonem taking a wicket each.
At Oriental College, YUCC beat RCA by 53 runs.
Asked to bat, YUCC put up 167/7 with the help of Ningthoujam Thoiba (50), Ningthoujam Rohit (48), Laishram Bidyashwor (23) and Kadamjit Moirangthem (16).The team then skittled out RCA for 114 in 18.3 overs.
Somraj Laishram snapped 3 wickets, and Devraj Nongthombam and Kadamjit Moirangthem claimed 2 wickets each in YUCC's win.
In the day's other match, YWC registered a 22-run success against MPA in their meeting at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Put in to bat, YWC got 148/6 courtesy of Ngangbam Bishwash Singh (48), Pukhrambam Prashantamani (33), Heisnam Manikanta (17) and Ngangbam Bikramjit (16).In reply, MPA came up short, managing 126/7 after they faced the complete 20 overs.
For YWC, Maibam Subash and Pukhrambam Prashantamani took 2 wickets each while Ngangbam Bishwash and Soubam Robinson bagged one each in their triumph.
